Heinz’ 83rd Birthday!

A Day of Celebrations

Yesterday we celebrated Heinz’ 83rd birthday. What better opportunity to start a blog on this website? Please share any birthday wishes in the comments below, and we’ll pass them on to Heinz!

We look forward to using this blog to highlight new image uploads, and especially some of the stories that go along with the images.

But this first post is all about celebrating Heinz on his birthday.

Heinz and Ruth started their day with a fresh croissant, and soon after shared a delicious fruit tart with others at the community where Heinz lives, with good wishes pouring in from staff and other residents.

Later, I arrived and gave Heinz his own framed Punakha Dzong drawing, and he witnessed for himself the prints that one can order on this website.

The drawing is now hanging on the wall of his room.

In the evening, we headed over to a neighborhood French restaurant, within easy wheelchair distance. There we met my brother Philip, and his family. After some birthday cards, an excellent meal, and yet another dessert, we wrapped up the day.

I, for one, am very grateful for all the love and support that my Dad has shown to me, across the years and the many phases of my life.

Help us get this blog going by adding a comment below, and we’ll reply there.

Happy Holidays to everyone and all the best wishes for 2026!
